We are pleased to welcome Dr. Lijing Jiang to the Department of the History of Science and Technology as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Jiang joins us from Colby College, where she was a Visiting Assistant Professor. She received her Doctor of Philosophy from Arizona State University’s Center for Biology and Society in 2013. Her historical research touches upon the cell degeneration and aging, experimental and model organisms, and aquaculture. Her many articles and chapters address cultural history of biology, socialist life sciences, Sino-American epidemiological cancer research, and ideas about human evolution and women in China, 1927-1958.
