Congratulations to Alumnus Hyungsub Choi (2007), who has been awarded the Society for the History of Technology's Brooke Hindle Postdoctoral Fellowship!

The Program is run jointly by the Department of History of Science and Technology, and the Department of History of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Medical School. Prof. Stuart W. ("Bill") Leslie will be Chair of the History of Science and Technology Department from 1 July - 31 December, 2009 while Prof. Kingsland is on sabbatical leave. News from two alumni, both on the faculty at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Christine Keiner's book is now available from Amazon: The Oyster Question: Scientists, Watermen and the Maryland Chesapeake Bay since 1880. University of Georgia Press, 2009.

Eric Nystrom won the Richard and Virginia Eisenhart Provost's Award for Excellence in Teaching, for 2008-20009.
